Ingo, kannst du vielleicht englisch schreiben, deine Sätze machen keinen Sinn.
santa, I, too, sometimes not clear.
New versions of the image HDMU (GST 1.8.0, Python 2.7.11) has a problem with the functions RWD / REW / PAUSE.
This is a basic that meant.

i don't had AzboxHD, but AzboxMe. Haven't found an older image yet. (I need to see how it worked before to understand what might be broken). Btw, gstreamer team released a new GST 1.8.1 version. when/if HDMU team moves to this version, maybe things improve...

Ingo. could you repeat your original post in English , what exactly is it that doesn't work anymore. Depending on encoder, and quality of encoding, some files behave very differnt from others. I have lipsync issues with some files that play perfectly in sync with Openatv. - both using GST 1.8.0.
I can seek forward/ backward and resume play. pause/ play jumps by at least 17 sec (sometimes more) and trouble audio resync.
Number jumps forward and backwards work just fine - you should use those instead of FFW/FBW...
the same problem here
i have install the last image the box frozen in functions RWD / REW
i go back in HDMU_15079_AzboxHD_OE_2504_Flash and functions RWD / REW working normally
But in this image I can not install the plugin enigma2-plugin-extensions-subssupport_1.5.3_20150714_all
before I had no problem with the installation
a file is in route, and prevents the installation
in last image the plugin installed normally
kapios, i hope the problem will be solved in the newer versions of the image.
I hope so too
with HDMU image i have (hav) the best media player for azbox
I install the latest image from another, equally famous German teams - problems with the media player are identical. In connection with HDMU shortcomings, I had to go to the image of the Spanish team.

you know that spanish image is not using gst for azbox media playback. their media player sits on top of the sigma player. its does play better, but is a proprietary solution.
spanish image is not using gst for azbox media playback
strange statement ... Then why in the Spanish image uses GStreamer 1.7.1? For me, as a user of obvious fact that the image of HDMU there are significant gaps that hope still to be fixed.

not strange. fact. of course they bundle GST , they build for many boxes. but for Azbox they use modified version of or very similar to Sattommys media player (openrsi) which uses the sigma rmfp_player (which uses the Sigma MRUA libs.
openatv has the old Azplay on the feed, which uses the same player, but is an ugly frontend.
For Azbox you cannot compare openSpa(nish) image with any of the other currently maintained E2 images as the default media player are using differnt engines (some odler images opanzbox mod, openrsi also used the sigma player engine).
For fun, get a WMV (VC1 or VC1_SM) file and play with any current E2 image for Azbox, Only one image will play it. Why? because the azbox driver have a bug and using WMV files has NEVER worked (via the e2 mediasink and GST). but the rmfp_player bypasses the driver (as its sigma using its own libs) it can play WMV without a problem....
If you can install Azplay - again WMV will also work.
dazulrich, i understand that we speak different languages, but not to the same degree ...
I cite specific examples of plug-ins that use GST:. IPTVPlayer, cScVod, Youtube, etc. The image HDMU broken functionality of these plug-ins (FWD / REW / PAUSE work is not satisfactory). The image of the Spanish team, these plug-ins work correctly through the GST, without any complaints. For my part I stop further controversy.

@ingo. fair enough when you talk about 3rd party plugins.
what would be useful to define not satisfactory.
I'm trying to have a constructive discussion here as oe-a based images use an azbox mediasink that I have modified to support GST 1.x. So I very much have a vested interest in understand your problem. And for that matter, its not just about 3rd party plugins, but the core bundled media players.
Having said that , i d not know which azbox-mediasink the HDMU image uses. So whatever I may be able to improve on the mediasink level, this may not be the one used by HDMU.
dazulrich,
you represent the team HDMU image of developers?

No I don't. And no other image team for that matter.

Ingo
Unfortunately, you seem to have chosen not to participate in any constructive discussion with the goal to improve media playback behaviour.
Maybe Kapios or any other Azbox HDMU image user can supply some information.
As I only have an AzboxMe, I can't really comment on the HD boxes are running (Minime should be very similar as same Kernel version driver).
For me, I can see the following behaviour. I would appreciate ppl posting their observations here.!!
Pause/Unpause of media files OR streams (youtube, IPTVplayer, MediaPortel) jump at least 10-20sec on unpause and then resync AV.
Number Jump works quite well. with quick resync.
FFW/FBW sort of works depends on the media. (FFW and FBW is NOT implemented using LinuxTV API, which doesn't support FBW, but with Azbox specific ioctl calls)
I have NOT seen any AzboMe image using GST 1.x where pause/unpause works - stop and restart at same play position. - if there is one, and you have it, please upload and link so I can test this.
There are (simplified) 4 elements to media playback.
Enigma2 servicemp3 (hdmu team), dvbmediasink (probably linking my github repo) , Gstreamer (other team), the driver (closed source and abandoned - not going to change, ever!).
Servicemp3 as Enigma2 layer is talking to the dvbmediasink gstreamer plugin, that interfaces with gst and the hardware driver.
GST is changing with every version, (mostly for the better, sometimes for the worse. The biggest issue is the abandoned driver which has not properly implemented the stanard calls and uses some proprietary calls as well.
switch from GST 0.10 to 1.0 required a lot of changes in the servicemp3 (openpli team mostly) and the mediasink. (openpli and co) which I am trying to track over time.
Some of those changes /improvements working for most actively supported STBs , still needed driver updates. We don't have that.
If this breaks the Azbox, there are three options:
1) forget any new improvements and stick with old GST 0.10 images
2) try to work around the limitations and improve were possible
3) ignore and stick head in the sand
From my testing in this case I have found that the "new" trickseek pause/unpause in servicemp3 works better for Azbox that the pause/unpause pipeline done previously. For other boxes its the other way round and for that reason servciemp3 is not using trickseek pause/unpause for filebased or streaming media anymore. this could be patched for the Azbox.
But before suggesting this for any image to do (hdmu, openatv or otherwise) , more user feedback is needed here.
I'm planning to update the azbox-mediasink in due course to track the recent changes adopted for the mediasink used for the other STBs. This will hopefully also improve the media playback.
Sorry for the long post, for those still reading and owning an Azbox, over to you now... The ball is in our court if you want improvements...
Information HDMU image developers.
Replace the contents of the package gstreamer1.0-plugin-azbox-dvbmediasink from the latest version on HDMU GST 1.6.1 (Package: gstreamer1.0-plugin-dvbmediasink
Version: 1.0 + git101 + ede9681-r5), - problem FWD / REW / PAUSE has been solved, the image became a full functionality.
Now I use HDMU_15366_AzboxHD_OE_2593_Flash, critical deficiencies after replacing dvbmediasink not found.
I would be grateful if the developer will take note of this information.
hi @ingo
Can you explain more in detail the process
where can find HDMU GST 1.6.1 (Package: gstreamer1.0-plugin-dvbmediasink?
The contents of the archive to put in /usr/lib/gstreamer-1.0 (attribute 755) to reboot.

@Ingo. good luck. I'm out.
@Bonkel und team: habt Ihr eigene/private Fork des azbox-mediasinks? oder verlinkt Ihr meine version (so wie openatv?)

Good for you you found a way to improve the image you used, enjoy. But you haven't provided anything new in response to ppl trying to help. You previously mention an old image where it worked. So ultimately nothing has changed
for anyone else.
HDMU_14635_AzboxHD_OE_2452_Flash
Package: gstreamer1.0-plugin-dvbmediasink
Version: 1.0 + git101 + ede9681-r5
