AC3+ on GM Triplex

should AC3+ work on the GM triplex HDMU firmware (running 4182)? I get no sound on AC3+ streams while on the spark firmware it works. I saw some old post but they were 3 years old. Anyone knows if it is suppose to work? thx!

You must use the alternative audio.elf, which is able for "DTS downmix".
Then AC3+, DD+ and so on works.

There´s no mechanism inside HDMU to change this file.
You have to put it in /boot:
Rename or save somewhere the existing audio.elf, and then copy the audio_dts.elf to /boot with named as audio.elf .
After reboot it will be loaded and works.
