Kannst du das log Posten. Ich weiss das pli was geändert hat. Wo ich mir gedacht hab. Dass sich das überschneiden könnte

Da kann ich nichts schauen. Wenn ssh geht. Reicht das doch. Jede andere Box geht. Und vom System her sind die alle gleich. Muß dann wohl Kernel.sein.

ok. Ich hab spaßeshalber busybox.nosuid Von anderem Image kopiert und init.d und inet.conf angepasst dann funzt es. Euer Weg Telnet zu starten passt dem Kernel nicht. Waere halt gut wenn MAT ginge. Ohne geht aber auch.

atv builds telnetd standalone into busybox (busybox defconfig) and starts via inet.d/telnetd.busybox script
hdmu seems to start telnetd via inetd (check /etc/inetd.conf )

if i copy busybox.nosuid and the script from atv into hdmu, then telnet works.

EDIT: Actually, seems that telnetd is running
netstat -an |grep LISTEN shows box is listening on port 23. (and when shutting down inetd, then box stops listening on 23 and other ports)
So to me it looks that telnetd is actually running. but it doesn't allow connections...
not sure something is missing in the busybox binary for the ME... (or incompatible with Defconfig for ME)
