Hello.

I have a SF1018 (tried as a Altevo 7000, as well), with Maxi Flasher BA09a, bootloader, on HDMU 955-209 GIT 4299 (the latest).

Very good and stable, but It wont initilize the hard drive, goes into the process and sticks at 50%, for ever.

I'm fairly good with linux and can get it to work, by formating with a label of RECORD, then changing the record paths in the menus.

BUT.

Is there a reason why it does this, I would like it just work.

I have a SSD as a internal hard disk ?
It was origonally a Icecrypt s4000?
State of the HDD when Maxi Flash executed in stock firmware ?

Any help would be very gratfull.

Thanks and Regards...
Chris...

Im having the same issue with the latest build 1095
How did you format it with the label of RECORD? Through telnet?
Currently I have no hard drive to record to because of this.
Any instructions to do this would be great
I have a 1TB Sata internal drive.
Thanks

Hi,

show your activ partitions:
fdisk -l
blkid

if you only have one part:
-this part is empty:
mkfs.ext2 -L RECORD /dev/sda1
-this part isn`t empty:
tune2fs -L RECORD /dev/sda1

create movie dir on this part:
cd /autofs/sda1
mkdir movie

if you have more then one part or a usbstick, please post the answer of blkid and fdisk -l

format - how? via image?
try to do it via telnet (or other tools) - this is the much better choice!
if you cannot get a clue of what I am talking - just let me know ;)

yes, solution is via telnet, via image is not possible because i have to create partition before, so fdisk to create partition and then "santa"'s advice...thank you

Create the image directly on the box... Best solution!
So please connect via telnet an do a

fdisk -l
With the disk connected. Post the output here...

By the way, you could also try the easy way... Admin Tool... already tried?

Hey,
I had the same problem with my HDD. Because I'm not really familiar with Linux (don't use it until finishing my studies) I need some time to find a solution. After I handled it I found this topic .
Why the Geier :D, the image has such problems to initialize the hdd in the correct way. Is it on the to do list? Not all of the image user know to handle command line...

Daniel

... this is why other users build tools to help you ;) "Why the Geier" - nice translation :D

Ich glaub ich mache mal auf dt. weiter.

Klar gibt es Möglichkeiten, aber out of the Box wäre halt runder.

Daniel

Bitte Version 1.1.0.4 testen.
