Hello all,

For years there has been a compiler warning during the build of evremote2. This has been fixed; evremote2 should now build without warnings.

I also took the opportunity to clean up the code. This has resulted in the removal of numerous casts which are now superfluous. In addition the texts written in the serial log are now more consistent between the various boxmodels and are always preceded with the marker [evremote2].

So far, so good (I hope).

The revamped evremote2 has been tested on two Fortis models: FS9200 (or fortis_hdbox) and HS8200 (or atevio7500) and the spark7162. This should mean that the spark and the other Fortis models should work OK as well.

Regarding the other receiver models the status of evremote2 is strictly speaking this: untested. As the program is essential is have remote control capability and on some models even a working front panel keyboard, my advice is to proceed with caution. Of course I have been meticulous in programming the changes for the untested models and I expect them to work correctly.

The revamped evremote2 is part of my apps git (https://github.com/Audioniek/apps). If you prefer to use the previous version, it is still available in Max's apps git (https://github.com/Duckbox-Developers/apps).

Feedback of problems with the new evremote2 are appreciated in this thread.

The very similar wait4button is yet to be done, that job is on my to-do list.

Regards,

Audioniek.
