I installed this image.
I hate the christmas boot images.... but, I can live with that... till Christmass.... argggg..

Most things working perfectly well.
A few bugs still exist.
Overclock menu still showing error. This exist since the HDMU versions a few months now......
Mediaplayer doesn''t show subtitles.
Mediaplayer makes the receiver reboot after I press STOP. And this is when playing mkv 1080p. I don''t have other movies.
It is playing those mkv''s fine, but without subs and with the reboot on pressing stop.
For now I watch those mkv''s with a decent pc, because Amiko ALien is not capable of doing that. At least I have not found any e2 image that does that job.

I am running this on an amiko alien. One of the first editions, but with a new remote control.

I'm assuming you have a rather recent TV (Smart TV or something similar).
So, try to use the MiniDLNA Server function which is a built in feature in the HDMU-Image.
You can find it in HDMU center - just configure and start.
For me that works like a charm.
My TV (Samsung Smart TV) shows an AllShare icon when the miniDLNA is running and I can watch all movies (mkv, 1080p, ...) with subtitles - perfect.

I know mediaplayer2. Works only with external subtitles. And I can not choose audio for some reason.... I think its my remote and keymap.xml.
I will look into it.

EDIT:
Installed mediaplayer2. I can select audio with yellow. Another press on yellow get me to the internal subtitles screen. After selecting a subtitle I get a green scrren and reboot.

Separate srt-subs do play fine.

Also Image ist von aller feinsten schnell und stabil!! Respekt!!
Das einzigste was ich gefunden habe, ist das es zu GS kommt wenn man movies anschaut, vom Plugin aus(Cinestream..etc)
und zwar immer wenn der Film zu ende ist oder wenn die Pause für mehr als 3-5 min anhält und dann auf Play klickt.
Hier ein kleiner Auszug vom LOG:

hast du emc oder ähnliches installiert? wenn ja kommts davon

Das hat wohl damit zu tun das das plugin im moment des beendens zum videoplayer springt der vorher offenbar nicht geöffnet war.

Gehe mal in die Einstellungen/ system / ich glaube Anpassen war es, dort stellst du verhalten beim beenden von filmen bei beiden auf nachfragen beim beeenden.
Dann kommt nach beenden oder abbrechen eines streams die abfrage was geschehen soll.
Da nimmst du dann einfach beenden, dann springt er zum streamplugin zurück.

Hi, danke für das Image, läuft sehr gut.
Hab aber auch das Problem wie Dimis. Nur hab ich eingestellt, dass nach dem Ende eines Videos direkt das nächste abgespielt werden soll.
Wenn ich beim Beenden nachfragen lasse, funktioniert es auch, aber das ist bei vielen kurzen Videos sehr nervig. EMC hab ich nicht installiert.

Entweder lässt du dich von der Abfrage oder vom Absturz der Box nerven.

Momenatn gibts dafür noch keine lösung.

Timer Aufnahmen funktionieren nicht, bekomme jedesmal einen GS kurz bevor der Timer starten will :(

Probiere mal einen skin vom Feed, vermutlich liegt es daran.

Bei mir funktionieren noch nicht die Untertiteln bei dem Mediaplayer.
Kanalen mit AC3+ codec haben keine Ton.
