http://www.hdmedia-universe.com/board/showthread.php?p=12711

Dann mit Stick booten und Telnet öffnen:

blkid
mount
fw_printenv

Flash is to small, so we create only USB Images.
You need a Part formated in ext2, there will you extract the image.
After that you have to know, which multiboot options you have in your bootargs.
Maybe you have press and hold 4 at switching on the Box to Boot from sdxy USB/hdd.

Hi santa pls help me with the instalation. On the first boot everything is OK. I made all the settings, scann Satelites e.t.c When I reboot only the initial Image is loaded then run on box displays and box reboots again. I'v made many try"s with different USB's and older images but the result is the same. I'v noticed that after the instalation the last sdb4 (MINI3) partition transforms to unknown (other) see attachment. What I'm doing wrong. Maybe the last partition is to be formatted as swap?

strange, which box do you have?

I don´t understand this:
When I reboot only the initial Image is loaded then run on box displays and box reboots again

you mean, the flash image boots?

I have IpBox 910 running at the moment USB image AAF don"t cry. On the first boot the image HDMU_1542_E2_ipbox910_211_git_5219_nodebug_nolcd_D iff0_ffm_USB.tar.gz runs normaly and I make normaly all the settings and Satelite scans. Wenn I reboot the box the initial HDMU screen (sorry not image) appears on the box -BOX display message LOADING, then on the box display message RUN, black screen and reboot. The same behavior with images 1512 and 1509 and the same with the last partition. I'v read manual for kati910 ant there partitioans are SWAP ext2, MINI1 ext2;MINI2 ext2 and RECORD ext2.

you don´t need swap, you can activate this at hdmu center, then it will swapfile in root.
Do you have found a crashlog at RECORD? maybe you have to make a serial log.

Do you copy settings to box or you set you config in menu?

Try to reboot after first installmenu.

Hi santa tnx for the help. All configs I made i menu. My last try was to create 4 partitions formated in ext2 sda1 SWAP, sda2 MINI1, sda3 MINI2, SDA4 RECORD.
Two times restart with no problems, all partitions after mount command in putty OK and after try to config recording path /media/hdd in menu - message hdd not writable and crash. After reboot - only message booting. When I checked the partitions the last was gone again as in attached pictures. Will fight all night.
Where is crashlog to see?

Problem solved. Maybe USB was bad. I'v created only 2 partitions on new USB MINI1 and RECORD, formated with mkfs.ext2 -L MINI1 -I128 -b4096 /dev/sda1.
Thx for the perfect image. Works like charm!!!
