New and need help

Hi all,

Hope you can help me here. Is the following the latest HDMU Image for Spark7162: (HDMU_11287_E2_spark7162_211_git_5519_nodebug_gst_ Flash).

I seen it in the images section along with a md5 file. Do i need to flash the md5 file also or what is this for? I already have an older HDMU image on my stb.Also, does this image have permanent timeshift and if not where can i find the plugin? Thanks

Hi and welcome!
md5 is only a checksum file (see wiki) - no need to download it.
The file you just downloaded is the latest one - perfect - just flash it ;)

Plugins can be found via the menu plugins - green key - download plugins

OK, i installed it and found no permanent timeshift plugin anywhere, including the download plugins section. Thanks anyway

you do not need this plugin....activate it in menü settings...

cool. I cannot get it to tune to Astra 28.2. Is that option not available on this image? Thanks

don't forget: permanent timeshift is a biiiiiiig performance loss...

Right, i installed the Astra 28.2 channel list and had them working but still no timeshift. Thanks anyway

why not? just tried it.
do you have a mounted movie part?

I activated it in the menu (as shown by bonkel) with 2 seconds, after changing the channel it starts working - permanent timeshift :)

yep,mounted and all was good. dono what went wrong but it just wouldnt timeshift. Will try reloading the image later and see how it goes.
