subtitles in mediaplayer?

When I play an mkv movie in mediaplayer, I can select subtitles, but they don't show up.
Is there a solution?

The normal dvb-subtitles in work well.

No. In media player the same problem. I can select the subtitles, but they do not show.
I think we are missing some modules.

Another problem: When playing an mkv, and then I press STOP, to stop playback, the receiver hangs. I can only switch it off and on again with the switch on the back.

I'm also struggling with that problem. I can't find an E2 image for spark receivers that allows me to use subtitles in mediaplayer. I think it's a problem in the duckbox svn.

If I recall correctly the only E2 images for spark receivers that allowed me to use subtitles in mediaplayer were made by the AR-Projekt.

And I don't mean only subs included in mkv files, I also mean external subs like srt for avi, mp4...

the open aaf final plays mkv en you can select subtitles like srt etc. etc.. its the only e2 image for spark that plays mkv stabile with subtitle. it's is just that hdmu image is better than the other e2 image in speed zapping and more stabil.

that's why i wait until this image is compleet with everything to install itd or maby there will come a open pli image for amiko.hihi

but what do you mean by example. the thing is when i want to play a mkv movie with extern subtitles it doesn't show to select it and if i play the movie en i paused the movie it hangs.

by the way i automaticily by install this image i set the it on 720p , does this image run on 1080?

hi, i have the latest image installed the 557 spark but there are still problem with th mediaplayer by playing mkv movies, it hangs en het shows by yellog button the subs but it don't shows and and hangs all the time.

is there some plugin of to do for playing some file movies?

Well, i got news. Subtitles work well in aaf-final for amiko alien. That was the main reason I installed aaf-final to my box earlier.
For now I stick with HDMU, because it is much much more stable. Only thing I mis are the subtitles in media player.

there is no aaf finel image, its all beta image...and this images doesnt base on openpli !

i hope that the hdmu image will succeed with the mediaplayer to play mkv files and selecting subs.
because this image is the best image for spark.
