How do you use this kind of img. USB.tar.gz.md5 ?

how use man this kind of image with the md5 suffix (USB.tar.gz.md5 (http://images.hdmedia-universe.com/ufs910/HDMU_11424_E2_ufs910_209_git_5556_nodebug_gst_USB. tar.gz.md5) )? isit the same way as man use this kind( USB.tar.gz (http://images.hdmedia-universe.com/ufs910/HDMU_11424_E2_ufs910_209_git_5556_nodebug_gst_USB. tar.gz) )?
can mau use KCC? or man use a USB and use the offcisial way ? usb in box keeping menu butten and power on the box?
what is the difference between this 2 kind of images ?

The file with the .md5 suffix only contains an md5 checksum which you can use to verify whether or not the .tar.gz image file was downloaded correctly.

On a Unix-based system, you can use the md5 command from inside a shell (window) and compare its output against the content of the .md5 file. Both should be identical!

Those images are only for USB, by using the way power on and menu button, you will flash the box.

Try installing with morly's Tool, you'll find it here in the Computer/Tool sektion. It is the easyest way to install, and there are many more nice things it can do. :)

yes dear ReWard (http://www.hdmedia-universe.com/board/member.php?1253-ReWard) , i have read meny good thing about this tool and I had download it .but unfortunrtly ,I have problem to install it on my system , I get error after error it want some dll files some missing when I install those dll files in end it get errer that file is not valid or corapted .
It ther a safe way to install this wounderfull tool on my winows7 ?

I think we can help you quickly. First help here (Admin Tool). Did you take the file from the 1. Post of morly? The dll have to be copy in the tool directory, do not copy them into windows.

but I search by goole and find the dll files and installed them. I did not noticed any dll files are her!
which thread is that can you give me the link adress her please?!!!
and I have copied them on windows , And I dont know how to copy them into the tool.

I'm using it with windows 8 without problems. Please remember to extract the dll files attached in the tool thread into the directory where you have installed the STB tool and not to any windows system folders.
And about md5 file: You can use for example md5sum (or was it md5summer) tool under windows 7 to check the file integrity of the downloaded image. Just use option something like "verify md5sum" and select the md5 file as input. It will then calculate the md5 sum of the image file and compare it with the value stored in the md5 file.

In morly's Thread (http://www.hdmedia-universe.com/board/showthread.php?4338-SH4-STB-Admin-Tool-Morly-1-4) U can download everything, Copy the dlls from there into the root directory of the Tool. Do not copy them into the Win xxxx directorys.
