Hi
I need to know wich resolution to use with a GM Triplex and a reloaded.
I have a LG full HD 1080p TV and the HDMU image purpose me some different resulutions.
wich to use?
actualy i use 720p@50 Hz
i dont want to broke my box if i use a to big resoltion.
Do i need a special hdmi cable or else?
Is 1080p@60 HZ with no danger for box?

Why sould it be danger for the box? When the cpu support 1080p60 it cant be danger for the box.

No worry! The Resolutions that are provided will not hurt/brake your STB!

The Optimum Resolution depends on the Source you are using. E.g. Europe most cases 1080i@50Hz is the best. 720p@50Hz is also OK! In countries with NTSC choose a Resolution with 60Hz...

the source is the sat and the cable.
Previously i had to return the box with warranty to repair it. Because i had a strange snow in menus and after some days the image on screen was black.
The TV is a LG 3D 42LW5400
and i'm in belgium. so witch is the best resolution for the best image quality?

Again it depends on the Source. What Satellite are you using? Astra 19.2?
If so then 1080i@50hz would be the best...

astra 19 and hotbird 13 and sometimes the cable too
i've seen on the web that "p" was better than "i" but if i understand the max of the source is 1080i for astra...?
thanks for answers

So as I already said the best goal is to use the resolution of your source!
if it is 1080i@50Hz use 1080i@50Hz
if it is 720p@50Hz use 720p@50Hz

As we do not know which channels you are whatching you have to find out yourself! I think 1080i@50hz will fit your requirements.

If you want to know the differences between progressive (e.g. 1080p) and interlaced (e.g. 1080i) please ask Google...

I asllways set my boxes to 1080p/50Hz, if they are able to play this format. I never have had problems with this settings, if I look TV, or play recorded movies.

@Zeini, do you have a triplex too?
I've try 1080p@60Hz but i had again a strange snow on menu, volume bar and infobar so i stopped directly.

Yes I have also a GM Triplex. And no problem with 1080p/60Hz on menue. But as Bonkel wrote- set 1080p/50Hz. Because in europe all programms transmit with 25/50Hz, not with 30/60Hz as eg in USA. So in pictures you see a flickering if you set 1080p/60Hz (or 1080i/60) and the movie is broadcasted with 25/50Hz.

if it brokes again it has nothing to do with the configured Resolution... Trust me!!
