cool tv guide very slow

Hi all,
My cool TV guide is very slow. Any advise speeding it up?

Take a look in the Plugin section, there is a thread about the cool tv guide. Remove the plugin from your Box, restart. Download the ipk, copy it to tmp and install it.


opkg install /tmp/enigma......ipk

Sorry not sure I follow.

Do I -
1. Remove the plugin?
2. Restart box.
3. Add the plugin from the download plugin section?
Then what do I do?

I had a look at the other thread but difficult to follow - Google translate doesn't help. One reply said something about being naked lol

It's just taken 14 mins to load the front page once EPG has been pressed.

Btw, sometimes I use babelfish.

Did you find the link to the ipk in the 5 or 6 pages thread, it is easy?

Copy the *.ipk to your /tmp dir of your box.

Conect in telnet to your box and :


opkg install /tmp/enigma......ipk

Restart and it should work. Be sure U delete the one from the feed.

Hi,

I have downloaded the cooltvguide v6.4.0 ipk file.
Connected to my box via Filezilla.
Uploaded the ipk file to the tmp folder
Open Telnet and connect to my box
Type in 'opkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-cooltvguide_Coolman_V6.4.0_sh4.ipk' but get an error saying no such file.

Am I doing something wrong?

Why you dont install cooltv from the feed? There is the version you want.

He has the same problem as I. The one from the feed is running very slow.

I don't know your boxtype, maybe ipkg install ..... works?

do you have any picons loaded and if so where are the usb /hard drive or flash
iv always found flash to be best , that could be your problem

It was very slow before I added the picons.

I have an Alien 2 box.

I'm only stuck with the telnet install part. Everyones instructions aren't helping - I need the exact wording to type into telnet.

There have been some changes with the plugin, download it again from the plugin server and test it once more. :)
