yes, but it is not simple to fix.
this problem isn´t on tv´s with 16:9 and bestfit.
if we fix that, minitv in HDMI mode will not work, so we have more trouble with more users.

Is it possible to turn the BOX to new kernel

Yes we try it next days, but i think there will be no Sound.
If there is no Sound, we are thinking about to stop supporting these Box, because i don't know anybody who having this Box and have the possibility to fix anything.
Sorry, but there ist no rs232 Port and this Box is too old.

Ipbox9000/910/900 will working better and we can support it.
