klar, mache ich schon ... übrigens ist hier im HDMU wieder der Fehler da, dass die MAC verfälscht wird, meine Box hat nicht die fefefefefefe, bin jetzt erst mal weg, Buli kommt, und der automatische Kabelsuchlauf klappt nicht, man muss manuell mit Netzwerk machen, um alle Sender zu finden. Vielleicht ist das aber mit 212 gefixt

hast du mal vor und nach dem löschen mal df im telnet eingeben?

habe eben mal noch genauer nachgeschaut, die bootvideos sind auf einer anderen mtd-part als der Rest vom image.
Das heißt wenn du die löscht, dürftest du nicht mehr platz haben.

die po files sind normal nur noch de und en im image.
die countryflaggen bringen nur 44kb

die HDMU Center locale bringen nur 35kb

die saver bringen fast ein MB, das ist wirklich das auschlaggebene wahrscheinlich

Du hast recht Bootvideo und Bootlogo ändern nichts. Am meisten bringt das verschieben von HDMUCenter und Po in das InternalSwap /dev/mtdblock4.
So kann ich OScam Shouthcast unf RecInfobar draufmachen und habe immer noch über 3.5 MB frei.

Flash mal wieder voll, die Box ist immer knapp am Limit
At the moment I am working on getting E2 running with loader 6.00 instead of the old 5.04. As far as I can determine, this will yield another 7 Mbyte of flash to use. At the moment I can build and flash an .IRD file and the kernel starts. For a reason I have not figured out yet, it cannot execute /bin/devint (ending in a kernel panic) although the partition it is in is mounted correctly.

The layout I currently use is this:


00000000 - 0005FFFF: bootloader
00060000 - 003BFFFF: kernel
003C0000 - 003DFFFF: dummy squashfs for root
003E0000 - 003FFFFF: dummy squashfs for dev
00400000 - 020FFFFF: app, first 128k is dummy squashfs
02100000 - 021BFFFF: config
021C0000 - 021FFFFF: cannot be flashed by loader
02200000 - 03FFFFFF: user

When app, config and user are concatenated, there should be 60M minus 128k dummy squashfs minus 256k unusable equals 59,625 Mbyte available in one partition, with a comfortable 3,625 Mbyte of room for even the wildest possible kernel.

With loader 5.04, the last Mbyte is not used in the current setup, but I have no idea why this is.

Lies mal AAF Forum, dort habe ich damals geschrieben. Und lies auch Anleitung für ART. Ist auf deutsch. Kurz gesagt mann brauchst Custombootargs, damit mann image von USB Stick booten kann. Und du muss die Enviroment seine SW auslesen mit :


printenv

Was dort ist, das musst du genau in Custom Bootags ändern... :D Ich kann dir schlecht auf Deutsch erklären...

Man soll auf genaue Große beachten. Und vergleichen mit aktuelle SW. Alles muss stimmen, sonst bootet SW nicht, aber Enigma2 auf USB bootet immer. Das ist nur für original SW notwendig. :D Ich weiss nicht ob ich deutlich geschrieben. Aber es funktioniert. Das ist Handwerk Arbeit ;)

Also ich habe I-Boot und Octagon SW in Flash. Bei einschalten kann ich mit Tasten Fernbedinung hoch runter zwischen Images umschalten und mit OK bestätigen. USB Stick hat 8 Partitionen. Sieh mal meine Bootargs ... SoLaLa kennt das I-Boot das ist sein Werk :D

Direkt nach der Installation aber vor der Einstellungswiederherstellung.
Ich verschiebe dann erst in das InternalSwap (HDMUSkin, po, rc_models, skin_default und emu die Saver bis auf 1 im bMediacenter habe ich auch gelöscht).
Das sieht dann so aus:

At the moment I am working on getting E2 running with loader 6.00 instead of the old 5.04.

@santa: although off-topic here, just a short update: I have got it working with patch levels 209 and 210 (building 211 at the moment, 214 to follow), with exactly 60 Mbyte available in one contiguous partition (that is, everything in one block except the kernel).

Because it is off-topic, I will start a fresh topic on loader 6.00 in the image building section as soon I have got the documentation ready, the new files (among which an expanded fup) have been checked and are OK and testing is completed to my satisfaction.
