Hallo, bin völliger Neuling mit diesem System.
Bekomme immer wieder diese Fehlermeldung:

Initialisiere Laufwerk.....
Fehler: Created a new partition 1 of type "Linux" and of size
931.5 GiB.
/dev/sda2: To create more patitions, first replace a
primary with an extended partition.
Leaving.

Die Festplatte ist neu aus der Verpackung, und als Rechner habe ich einen I-Mac Mit OS 10.10.4

Danke für ein paar hilfreiche Tipps.......

In die FAQ schauen und manuell die record Partition erstellen, oder auch mit dem mat, steht auch in der faq

Die Mat programme lassen sich nicht starten....
und mit der manuellen Anleitung funktioniert das glaube mit dem i-Mac nicht.....

war dann wohl ne große Fehlinvestition......der Receiver.......

Ach Quark, nicht so schnell aufgeben.

Verbinde dich mal per Telnet mit der Box und versuch mal die Befehle einzugeben:

fdisk -l
blkid

Da es ne mips ist, kann es sein das du nur mit sfdisk weiter kommst.

Alternativ die HDD mal am pc anschließen und mit einem Partitionsmanager auf eine Partition bringen, diese sollte dann möglichst in ext4 sein und RECORD heißen, weiß nicht inwiefern das mit nem Mac geht.

so, sorry....aber nur am Rechner und tv-box.....weiß gar nicht mehr wo mir der kopf steht.....wenn nix klappt.....ABER DANKE für die freundlichen Hinweise...

Die HDD hat keine partitionstabelle.
Sda ist nur die HDD, sda1 wäre eine Partition, die ist aber nicht vorhanden, diese muss erst mit sfdisk erstellt werden.
Bin derzeit nur per Handy online, deswegen kann ich dir nicht den kompletten Syntax geben.

Fang mal an mit sfdisk /dev/sda, dann muss man wahrscheinlich mit n eine neue Partition erstellen, diese muss dann eine primäre Partition sein, von Anfang bis Ende der Blöcke von der Größe.
Dann speichern, unn dann erst formatieren, ich würde heutzutage aber ext4 statt ext3 nehmen
