About two ears ago I have had a look in adding 3G modem support to the Image. I abandoned it due to lack of time. The feature is as far as I know not available in any image, either E2 or Neutrino. Adding it would also considerably enlarge the image, as each modem requires its own driver and additional modules (modeswitch) are needed. So for the moment: cabled Ethernet and WiFi only!
