Some time ago firmware for UFS-913 and UFS-960 appeared on the internet.
What's the possibility to get firmware for Kathrein UFS-923? From what I know, the original firmware has been provided with source code by manufacturer.

I think you have not read the statement at the URL mentioned close enough. It says that the firmware of the UFS923 contains open source components, but that means it is not entirely open source. The part that can be downloaded is indeed only the open source part, the application part that was made by Kathrein remains closed source. Therefore you cannot download the source and build the factory firmware from it.
