Right, i installed the Astra 28.2 channel list and had them working but still no timeshift. Thanks anyway

why not? just tried it.
do you have a mounted movie part?

I activated it in the menu (as shown by bonkel) with 2 seconds, after changing the channel it starts working - permanent timeshift

yep,mounted and all was good. dono what went wrong but it just wouldnt timeshift. Will try reloading the image later and see how it goes.
