cannot download pluggins or search 28.2 e satellite plz help newbie

i have tried that several times this is the secound image that iv tried and it also done the same thing. is there some settings or something that i have missed which is not allowing it to connect to the pluggins

i just tried putting in lan cable adjusted settings etc then reboot and still nothing just keeps saying no new plugins found also went back to wireless and reboot and it was also the same

is there any point trying to download another image to see if it works

So - to see if a problem with the network occurs please try the following:
connect to the box via telnet and make a:

ping www.hdmedia-universe.com

does the ping work? So - are packages received?

i would not have a clue how to do that im only new to all this if there is a tutorial on how to do this send me a link and i will have a go

you don't need a tutorial,
please try the following
1) connect via telnet to your box. So - Command Prompt and type in:

telnet ip.to.your.box

(replace ip.to.your.box with the correct IP of your box - you can find this information in the network settings of your box)
2) then you will be asked for username and password, so username: root, password HDMU
3) now you are in the world of Linux of your box, then type in:

ping www.hdmedia-universe.com

At the end please copy the whole output of your session and paste it here

i dont even no what telnet is do i download it and sorry for being a bit dumb in advanced

wright i just download putty and i put in the ip adress and its showing up my netopia router

i have got as far as putting in an ip adress then spark 7162 comes up it asks for login so i type root then pasword pops up but then i am unable to enter any txt what am i doing wrong
