Telnet geht by meiner ME wieder.
@kapios: what are the issues?
Telnet, should be working. FTP, wasn't broken as far a i know
Wifi: well, you have the folder and files from openspa.
You can get involved in the problem solving by testing it.
You can start replacing individual folders with the kernel drivers (one by one) and reboot to see if the problem persits or is gone - to isolated to issue.
If you can, then you swap the differnt drivers in that folder to see if you can pinpoint.
You can do same with azbox drivers in the extra folders. but they should be identical. (you can do binary compares or hash comparisons on the files to determine if any are differnt)
and then other users to test if replacing that driver helps, causes other problems etc. and then the team can check whether the build can be changed to make it work.. (or users can just replace the driver.)
No guarantee that this will pin-point the issue. But worth a try if this is so important.
But of course, if you don't have time and you'd rather wait for some other user to test this, then you will probably have to accept the problem for the forseeable future.
@dazulrich
if flash only the kernel openspa4.004 can't conect with ftp and telnet and if use wifi the azbox freezer
and for this reason should replace the folder opensat3.3.1 with the same folder from opeνspa image
for some reason kernel and folder opensat3.3.1 must be of the same image
if i have time to replace one by one the files but was so much you would need a week to finish.
that is because they are build together.. kernel and modules. I was only trying to illustrate that there is more to just snipping a finger and its done.
what you are asking of Bonkel basically is take the openspa image kernel core and put HDMU E2 on top... I don't think you need to wait for an answer on this one.
Bonkel's Azbox builds are based on the oe-alliance code. (same as opeatv), in neither images wifi works. - both images still actively support Azbox
In openspa, openrsi neither support Azbox in current images (openrsi doesn't exist anymore)
openspa oe code is not public, we don't know their defconfigs to compile the kernel..
the oe-alliance code is public. including the defconfig for kernel.
you can build you own image and make as many test changes as you lilke until wifi works.
EDIT: Btw, the drivers in the extra folder are binary identical between hdmu and openspa.
the drivers in the kernel folder differ in size and number. due tothe differnt kernel builds. they differ in number because HDMU as some build into the kernel and openspa seems to build them as modules. there may well be the "problem". wifi needs to be build as module and not into the kernel. (not mixed). but only a bunch of test builds can tell you that.
someone has to do the testing , the trial and error. As mentioned before the HDMU team does not have an AzboxHD box anymore..
So only you or someone else with a HD box can actually test this to find a resolution.
I've spent a few nights helping Ingo to find a problem I don't even have, but I had access to the relevant code. Why, because he spent the time explaining the issue properly and then did the testing.
Here I can't help. Sorry .

YES now External disks can be visited
but have problems Most often folders and files not appearing (like openatv)
and 2 times crash
the first time open the folder MOVIES and play movie with mediacenter
i try then with dream explorer and 2 times crash
i try again with media center and files not appearing (like openatv)
log
Interesting movie to create a crash log with :-)
from the log: it can't find the following path:
/media/usb/MOVIES/MOVIESsomehow the 2nd MOVIES is appended by mistake. And that path doesn't exist.
in HDMUcenter system infos crash 2 times
don't know, if this problem exist or after install ntfs 3g modules
