bootargs in sprak7162 can be changed in j00ztalator, under advanced > manual changes in uboot.
The key for successful read of the environment is "insmod /lib/modules/i2s.ko" after lodaing it, mtd7 is accessible (when image has all required patches)
/dev/mtd0 0x00060000 0x00020000 0x20000
gesetzt
Trotzdem
fw_printenv => Can't open /dev/mtd7: No such device
dann habe ich
fw_* und softlink gelöscht und vom \Tools\SPARK7162.tools.tar.gz rüberkopiert (/tmp)
Trotzdem
fw_printenv => Can't open /dev/mtd7: No such device
Box neustart
fw_* vom \Tools\SPARK7162.tools.tar.gz rüberkopiert (/tmp)
fw_printenv => Can't open /dev/mtd7: No such device
tja ???

advanced > manual changes in uboot
does not work...
with STB_Admin_Tool's fw_printenv
GM7162HD:~# insmod /lib/modules/i2s.ko
GM7162HD:~# fw_printenv
Can't open /dev/mtd7: No such device
GM7162HD:/tmp# fw_printenv
Can't open /dev/mtd7: No such device
with your fw_printenv
GM7162HD:/tmp# fw_printenv
Can't open /dev/mtd7: No such device

Perhaps it's a problem of the PKT Nebula3c (OE1.6??)

PS: with the korect DLL's works the STB_Admin_Tool_v1.0.0 fine (inkl bootargs)... LG

Yes it is.This image is very old and outdated, additionally PKT doesn't care about mulitboot functionality. All works properly under HYBRID image and probably will work with HDMU too. I didn't test as I don't use it at all, same with STB_Admin_Tool_v1.0.0.

Now having a problem at building the .tar.gz with the "jffs2-2-targz.sh" under debian-6.0.2.1 (under vmware)
modprobe mtdram total_size=131072 erase_size=128
FATAL: Error inserting mtdram (/lib/modules/2.6.32-5-686/kernel/drivers/mtd/devices/mtdram.ko): Cannot allocate memory
any idea?
Manuell angestartet auch
modprobe mtdram total_size=131072 erase_size=128
Überraschung!!! Surprise!!!
Manuell
modprobe mtdram total_size=65535 erase_size=512ohne Fehler / no error
Danach auch
modprobe mtdram total_size=131072 erase_size=128
OK
????????
Will dann direkt an das bootarg via Hyperterminal...
setenv bootargs console=ttyAS0,115200 root=/dev/sda2 rootfstype=ext2 rw coprocessor_mem=4m@0x40000000,4m@0x40400000 printk=1 printk.time=1 nwhwconf=device:eth0,hwaddr:$ethaddr bigphysarea=6000 stmmaceth=msglvl:0,phyaddr:2,watchdog:5000 panic=10 rootwait usb_storage.delay_use=0
bootm 80000000
@santa
"insmodden" meint angepasst/mod oder was?
