"Every Setback is a Set Up for a Comeback"
Hi,
Do you mean a HDD like this?
http://www.hardeschijfstore.nl/produ...vx-500-gb.html
If yes, I don't have a one. I have tried only with USB datatraveler 16 GB. Backup crashs by step 2 and restart the box. Some times doesn't response and freezes.
you can use any secondary storage...
format it as ext3, use label RECORD and create a folder movie on it.
then reboot box with the device connected
start the AT again, during the connection phase you get a message "toolpath: ..." - which should state: /media/hdd (or something similar - NOT: /tmp)

Thank you . It's working now fine. I did proceed the following steps.
1- start STB AT
2- click Disk/MB
3- Click on Partition editor
4- change the Number of partitions to 1
5- Filesystem wil change from sda1 to ext3
6- Label will be change to RECORD
7- Create a folder movie on it
8- Reboot the box with the device connected
9- Start the AT again
10-Go to welcome tab
11-Click on Fullbackup Flash Image
12-Choose Backup your Box Image
13- The tool will create now a Full Backup in 5 steps. You will get a pop-up on your computer to save
the zip backup on your computer. This can take several minutes to 10 minutes.
perfect - thanks for your response!

Hallo, bin ja nun stolzer Besitzer der Quad Plus.
Habe heute das erste Mal das MAT bei dieser Box getestet.
Hier mal kurze Infos:

So alles OK, die HDD nutze ich jetzt für Timeshift und für das "MyTube" Plugin und desen Aufnahmen, da sich da der Aufnahmepfad nicht auf die NAS legen läßt.Code:sfdisk --change-id /dev/sda 1 83;umount /dev/sda1;echo y | mk fs.ext4 -L 'RECORD' /dev/sda1; Done umount: can't umount /dev/sda1: Invalid argument mke2fs 1.42.9 (28-Dec-2013) Filesystem label=RECORD OS type: Linux Block size=4096 (log=2) Fragment size=4096 (log=2) Stride=0 blocks, Stripe width=0 blocks 19537920 inodes, 78142160 blocks 3907108 blocks (5.00%) reserved for the super user First data block=0 Maximum filesystem blocks=0 2385 block groups 32768 blocks per group, 32768 fragments per group 8192 inodes per group Superblock backups stored on blocks: 32768, 98304, 163840, 229376, 294912, 819200, 884736, 1605632, 2654208, 4096000, 7962624, 11239424, 20480000, 23887872, 71663616 Allocating group tables: done Writing inode tables: done Creating journal (32768 blocks): done Writing superblocks and filesystem accounting information: done [6necho y | mkfs.ext3 -L RECORD /dev/sda1 && mkdir -p /tmp/MORLY _MOVIE_TMP && mount /dev/sda1 /tmp/MORLY_MOVIE_TMP && mkdir -p /tmp/MORLY_MOVIE_ TMP/movie && umount /dev/sda1 && rm -rf /tmp/MORLY_MOVIE_TMP mke2fs 1.42.9 (28-Dec-2013) Filesystem label=RECORD OS type: Linux Block size=4096 (log=2) Fragment size=4096 (log=2) Stride=0 blocks, Stripe width=0 blocks 19537920 inodes, 78142160 blocks 3907108 blocks (5.00%) reserved for the super user First data block=0 Maximum filesystem blocks=0 2385 block groups 32768 blocks per group, 32768 fragments per group 8192 inodes per group Superblock backups stored on blocks: 32768, 98304, 163840, 229376, 294912, 819200, 884736, 1605632, 2654208, 4096000, 7962624, 11239424, 20480000, 23887872, 71663616 Allocating group tables: done Writing inode tables: done Creating journal (32768 blocks): done Writing superblocks and filesystem accounting information: done [6n

Danke fürs Feedback Anskar!!

Moin,
unter debian testing x64 startet das Admintool. Wenn ich aber zur Box connecte, bricht es ab:
Cannot mix incompatible Qt library (version 0x40805) with this library (version 0x40806)
fixme:advapi:UnregisterTraceGuids 0: stub
./startAT.sh: Zeile 2: 17366 Abgebrochen ./Admin_Tool_v2.1_x64
